Role Overview

JMC College International – Dematagoda Branch is urgently seeking qualified, experienced, trained, and English-fluent teachers for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions across multiple subject areas for Grades 06 to 11. JMC College International is calling applications for teachers in the following subject areas for Grades 06 to 11:

• Health Science
• Geography
• Civics
• Art
• PTI (Physical Training Instructor)

• Science

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for students in Grades 06 to 11
• Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment papers
• Conduct regular class tests, mid-term and term-end examinations
• Maintain student attendance records, progress reports, and academic documentation
• Communicate effectively with parents and school management regarding student progress
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and co-curricular activities
• Ensure a positive, disciplined, and motivating learning environment in the classroom
• Uphold the professional standards and academic values of JMC College International

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified, experienced, and trained in the relevant subject area
• Strong proficiency in English (English-fluent teachers preferred)
• Relevant educational qualifications (Degree, Diploma, or Professional Teaching Certificate)
• Prior teaching experience at secondary school level (Grades 06–11) is essential
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to commit to a full-time or part-time teaching schedule as required
• A passion for education and student development
