Role Overview

MBSL Insurance is offering an exciting Internship in Network & System Administration. This structured internship provides IT undergraduates and recent graduates with practical, hands-on experience in network infrastructure management, system administration, IT security, and enterprise IT support — all within a professional insurance company environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and IT infrastructure
• Support daily system administration tasks including user account management, access control, and system monitoring
• Help maintain servers, networks, and security systems to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues under the supervision of senior engineers
• Monitor system performance and report any irregularities, anomalies, or potential security risks
• Assist in implementing IT security policies, backup procedures, and disaster recovery protocols
• Provide technical support to internal users for IT-related issues
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
• Support routine system updates, patches, and infrastructure upgrades
• Collaborate with the IT team on ongoing projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of networking concepts — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and/or Linux
• Knowledge of hardware servers and basic cybersecurity concepts is an added advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
