Role Overview

Metropolitan Technologies is hiring CCTV Interns and Technicians to join their fast-growing CCTV and Surveillance Systems division. This is a field-based technical role that involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV and surveillance systems for Metropolitan’s corporate and institutional clients across Sri Lanka. Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Location: Nawala, Nugegoda (Head Office) + Field Sites Island-Wide

Job Profile — Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV and surveillance camera systems at client sites
• Attend site visits island-wide to inspect and resolve CCTV-related technical issues
• Perform basic field tasks including fixing, removing, and replacing CCTV cameras (typically 1–2 cameras at a time)
• Support senior CCTV technicians during field assignments and system commissioning
• Ensure the proper functioning and integrity of surveillance systems after service visits
• Willingness to travel island-wide for CCTV breakdown calls and site visits
• Maintain service records and completion reports for each site visit

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CCTV or IT hardware experience is an added advantage (not mandatory — freshers welcome)
• NVQ Level 4 or above qualification in Hardware and Networking
• Basic computer knowledge — such as assigning IP addresses — is helpful but not compulsory
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on field assignments
• Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
• Freshers who meet the NVQ qualification are also encouraged to apply
• Physically fit and willing to travel island-wide
