About Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau
Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau is an organization under the purview of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, established to provide Consultancy & Support Services for local and international clients. With over two decades in business, the Bureau has grown to be a reputed organization, successfully completing high-priority consultancy and support services for government and non-government organizations in Sri Lanka. Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau (MCB) invites applications from enthusiastic, motivated, and career-oriented individuals for the position of Graduate Intern (02–05 vacancies) under the CSR & Community Resilience Network (CRN) Programme.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in Social Sciences, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Development Studies, or a related field from a recognized university or higher educational institution
- Applicants who are currently pursuing a Higher National Diploma (HND) are also eligible to apply
Skills and Competencies
- Good knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good report-writing and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Language Proficiency
- Proficiency in Sinhala is mandatory
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of Tamil will be considered an added advantage
Preferred Age
Preferably below 35 years.
Duty Station & Duration
Selected candidates will be based in Colombo at the Project Management Unit and will be required to undertake regular field visits across Sri Lanka in support of programme implementation and project activities. Duration: 3 to 6 months.
