Ministry of Crab (MOC), among the most sought-after restaurants in the country and ranked as one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst / Financial Analyst.

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst / Financial Analyst will work closely with the Board of Directors in providing critical, insightful, and data-driven analysis of company performance, growth trajectory, and regional expansion plans. The role involves researching and analyzing financial information to help the company make well-informed business decisions, plan new market entry strategies, assist in portfolio expansion, formulate quarterly shareholder reports, and monitor overall business performance on an ongoing basis.

Job Role and Responsibilities

Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) considering the company’s goals and current financial standing
Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
Assemble and summarize data to structure advance reports on financial health and risks
Conduct feasibility, business, and comparative performance studies and develop forecast models
Track and analyze financial status by comparing actual results with forecasts
Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within a broader scope
Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives
Perform ad-hoc work and other assignments as directed by the Director Operations or designated line managers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data and reports
Conduct competitor and industry analysis, reports, trends etc.

Qualifications and Competencies Required

CIMA / Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
CFA part qualification is a plus
2–3 years of proven working experience as a Senior Financial Analyst / Financial Analyst in equity, corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, information analysis, and financial modelling experience
Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills
Well knowledgeable in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments
