We are now seeking an outstanding, energetic, and highly dedicated professional to take over the responsibilities of Account Executive within our growing finance team.
The Role
The Account Executive will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and working closely with the Managing Director to maintain the smooth running of the accounts department. This is a senior accounting role requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience and a strong professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate accounting policies are applied during the preparation of yearly and monthly accounts
- Supervise daily operations within the scope of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Authorize and oversee the processing of pre-requisition orders within set standards
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to ensure the smooth running of the organization’s accounts department
- Oversee the collection, deposit, and reconciliation of bank funds and accounts
- Provide customer support services and assist in the resolution of customer complaints or payment issues
- Process payments and financial documents such as invoices, statements, and vouchers
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial close-up
Qualifications
- Candidate should be flexible and aged between 30–40 years
- An accounting qualification — CIMA, ACCA, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent — is a must
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experienced with accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring reliable financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting financial data and making informed decisions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Familiarity with industry-specific accounting regulations and standards
