The Role
We are seeking a competent and experienced Duty Officer (Outsourced) to undertake the surveillance of the Bank’s premises, coordinate with island-wide branches, and monitor security issues. This is a critical, high-responsibility role that requires strong leadership, situational awareness, and the ability to manage emergencies calmly and effectively on a 24/7 shift basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake surveillance of the Bank’s premises and coordinate with island-wide branches on security matters
- Detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism, theft, and other security breaches
- Manage the Control Room on a 24/7 basis and respond to security incidents promptly
- Use own initiative and intelligence to face any critical situation while on duty
- Prepare and submit security reports and situation analyses to management
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant authorities when needed
- Maintain strict professional confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Should be a retired or resigned officer of the Sri Lanka Police, Army, Navy, or Air Force
- If from the Armed Forces: should be an ex-officer of the rank of Lieutenant/Captain (Army) or equivalent in other forces
- If from the Police: should be an ex-officer of the rank of Inspector/Chief Inspector
- Should be below 50 years of age and in good physical and mental health
- Excellent leadership, observation, and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong public relations skills
- Ability to maintain professional confidentiality
- Ability to work on a shift basis, 24/7
- Strong situation analysis and report writing skills
