Role Overview

SriLankan Catering is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning & Costing Executive to join their team. This role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, operational planning, and cost management within an aviation catering environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in budgeting, costing meal plans, and supporting the planning functions of the catering operation. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain costing models for in-flight meal and catering products
• Analyse food and beverage costs, production volumes, and pricing to support profitability
• Prepare detailed operational plans, production schedules, and cost reports for management review
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs and identify areas for efficiency improvement
• Collaborate with the production, procurement, and finance teams on costing and planning activities
• Maintain accurate records of ingredient costs, labour costs, and overhead allocations
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts
• Provide analytical insights to support decision-making on menu planning, pricing, and resource allocation

General Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
• Experience in cost analysis, planning, or financial management, preferably in catering, hospitality, or aviation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams
