About the role

Rainco (Pvt) Ltd, the Sri Lankan umbrella maker, is recruiting a Warehouse In-Charge for Mawanella.

The job runs from goods arriving to goods leaving. The person checks incoming stock, keeps inventory records, picks and packs orders, loads shipments and prepares the shipping paperwork. With 1 year of experience as the minimum, it suits someone early in a warehouse career who is ready to take charge of a site.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods for correct quantity and quality
• Keep inventory records accurate, run regular stock counts and store and handle stock properly
• Pick, pack and prepare orders correctly and keep the warehouse organised and clean
• Coordinate shipment loading and make sure goods are dispatched on time
• Prepare packing lists and shipment invoices, and keep all shipment documents
• Work with internal teams so orders go out on time

Skills and qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management or a related field
• 1 year of experience in warehouse or inventory management
• Good knowledge of inventory control, shipment coordination and warehouse operations
• MS Office and warehouse management system skills are an added advantage
