The Sri Lanka State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) is the principal state institution responsible for the procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment for government hospitals, while also handling distribution to the private sector. As one of the most important institutions safeguarding the country’s drug supply chain, SPC invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for permanent positions within the organization.

The Opportunity: Management Assistant (Quality Control Assistant) – Grade III (MA 2.1)

SPC is recruiting for the post of Management Assistant (Quality Control Assistant), Grade III, under salary code MA 2.1. This role is suited to candidates with a strong academic background in Chemistry, either through a relevant degree or through professional qualification from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, combined with G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification in the Science stream.

Required Qualifications (any one of the following)

• A G.C.E. Advanced Level pass in the Science stream with a degree related to Chemistry, together with a university degree recognized by the University Grants Commission with Chemistry as the main subject; or
• A G.C.E. Advanced Level pass in the Science stream with subjects related to Chemistry, together with full completion of the professional qualification awarded by the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon

Salary Scale

Rs. 37,890/- – 375/- × 10, 440/- × 7,620, 4,825/- × 20 – 63,700/- (the monthly salary at the top step of the scale is approximately Rs. 115,914/-)

Age Limit

Applicants must not be below 18 years and not above 45 years of age. (This upper age limit does not apply to candidates already employed in permanent government service.)

General Eligibility

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka
• Must possess the physical and mental fitness required to discharge the duties of the post and to serve anywhere in the country
• Must be of excellent character
