The Sri Lanka State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) is the principal state institution responsible for the procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment for government hospitals, while also handling distribution to the private sector. As one of the most important institutions safeguarding the country’s drug supply chain, SPC invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for permanent positions within the organization.

The Opportunity: Management Assistant (Production Assistant) – Grade III (MA 1.1)

SPC is recruiting for the post of Management Assistant (Production Assistant), Grade III, under salary code MA 1.1. This role offers multiple eligibility pathways, making it accessible to O/L qualified candidates, A/L qualified candidates, and existing public sector employees with relevant service experience.

Required Qualifications (any one of the following pathways)

Pathway A:

• A pass in the G.C.E. O/L examination (not more than two sittings) with six passes including credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, English, and Mathematics, in one sitting; and
• A pass in two subjects at the G.C.E. A/L examination under the new syllabus (excluding the General Paper)

Pathway B:

• A pass in three subjects at the G.C.E. A/L examination under the old syllabus; and
• Computer literacy; and
• A minimum of 3 years of satisfactory service in a permanent capacity at a government institution, statutory board, or relevant public institution

Salary Scale

Rs. 34,890/- – 375/- × 10, 440/- × 7,620, 4,825/- × 20 – 60,700/- (the monthly salary at the top step of the scale is approximately Rs. 110,458/-)

Age Limit

Applicants must not be below 18 years and not above 45 years of age. (This upper age limit does not apply to candidates already employed in permanent government service.)

General Eligibility

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka
• Must possess the physical and mental fitness required to discharge the duties of the post and to serve anywhere in the country
• Must be of excellent character
