Job Overview

MAGA Engineering is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Technical Officer for a project based in Kandy. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned construction professional to join Sri Lanka’s foremost construction company and contribute to high-impact building projects while advancing their career within a world-class organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate day-to-day technical activities on the assigned building project site in Kandy.
Ensure that all construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor and supervise subcontractors, labourers, and site personnel to ensure compliance with project timelines and quality benchmarks.
Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work to identify and address technical deficiencies promptly.
Maintain accurate site records including daily progress reports, material usage logs, and inspection checklists.
Coordinate with the project management team to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials and equipment.
Assist in resolving technical issues and providing on-site engineering support to the project team.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders as required during project execution.

Candidate Profile

National Certificate in Technology (NCT) / National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum 05 years of experience in a technical or site supervisory role, of which at least 03 years must be in Building projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and site management practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with project teams and stakeholders.
Willingness to be stationed in Kandy for the duration of the project.
