Job Role

EL-TORO Roofing Products Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Supervisor Civil – Chilaw to join their Civil Engineering team at their Chilaw factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising all civil maintenance and construction activities within the factory premises, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Chilaw or nearby areas, or those willing to be boarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all civil maintenance and construction tasks within the factory, including infrastructure repairs, renovations, new installations, and housekeeping.
• Oversee daily activities of the civil work team, ensuring effective utilisation of labour, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Manage resource allocation, including manpower scheduling and material procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the factory premises.
• Provide technical guidance to the civil team and resolve on-site issues or challenges efficiently.
• Assist in project planning and cost estimation for factory civil works.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used, labour hours, and completed tasks for reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Preferred age between 22 – 35 years.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in civil supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Diploma or NVQ Level 4/5 in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil drawings and construction plans.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, project management software, and MS Office applications.
