We are currently seeking results-driven and customer-oriented professionals for the role of Recovery Officer across multiple branch locations island-wide. This is a challenging and rewarding role for individuals with a background in insurance collections, financial services sales, and customer relationship management.

Negombo | Kalutara | Galewela | Nawam Mawatha | Panadura | Embilipitiya | Wattala

📋 Key Responsibilities

• Keep track of admin lapse policies using data provided by the relevant Zonal Coordinator
• Identify, establish contact with, and arrange meetings with all policyholders whose policies have lapsed
• Update policy status and customer database/details on a regular and timely basis
• Handle policyholders’ questions, concerns, and complaints in a strategic and professional manner
• Negotiate benefits, meet payment deadlines, and set up suitable payment plans/systems with policyholders
• Build trust and develop long-term professional relationships with policyholders to prevent future lapses
• Ensure consistent achievement of monthly collection and policy activation targets
• Conduct proper follow-up and provide periodic, timely reminders to policyholders as required
• Provide necessary information to management and identify gaps in the system, recommending effective solutions
• Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with the role

🎓 Job Pre-Requisites

• GCE Advanced Level (A/L) qualification (mandatory)
• Professional qualifications in SLIM, CIM, or equivalent; recovery-related qualifications will be a strong added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales and/or customer handling
• Demonstrable experience in recoveries within the financial services or insurance industry
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in direct life insurance sales and/or team leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills, persuasion ability, and resilience under pressure
