About the Employer

Ravana Pool Club is a hillside pool and leisure venue in Ella. It is part of the Vella portfolio, whose other brands include 98 Acres Resort & Spa, Flying Ravana Adventure Park and Halpé Tea. The venue is Great Place to Work Certified (Mar 2026 – Mar 2027) under Vella. It is recruiting a Pool Attendant cum Lifeguard to keep guests safe in the water and the pool area in top condition.

Role Summary

This role has two sides. First, you are the trained lifeguard on duty, responsible for supervision, rescue, First Aid and CPR. Second, you look after the pool deck, keeping sunbeds, umbrellas, towels and the surrounding areas clean and well presented.

Key Responsibilities

• Watch pool activity and keep guests safe at all times.
• Respond immediately to emergencies, including water rescue, First Aid and CPR.
• Enforce pool safety rules, procedures and hygiene standards.
• Keep the pool, deck, sunbeds, umbrellas, towels and surrounding areas clean and well presented.
• Carry out daily checks of the pool and safety equipment, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain First Aid and rescue equipment and keep the required safety records.
• Help guests with poolside requests and questions.
• Support poolside activities, events and functions without letting safety standards slip.
• Follow company safety, hygiene and operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Age between 20 and 35 years.
• G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) or equivalent.
• A valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognised authority. This is essential.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in a hotel, resort, water park or recreational facility is an added advantage.
• Strong swimming and water-rescue skills.
• Good command of English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
