Role Overview
MCB Bank Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Officer – Policy & Procedure Development to join their team in Colombo. This role is pivotal to ensuring the bank’s operational policies, procedures, and internal controls are up-to-date, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with best practices in the banking industry. The successful candidate will receive an attractive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Department Head in developing and updating Bank Policies and Procedure Manuals in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal Bank policies
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing banking processes, identify gaps, and report findings to relevant stakeholders
- Support the review and enhancement of existing business processes to ensure optimum performance and operational efficiency
- Assist the Department Head in issuing operational circulars and conducting internal control certifications for operational activities
- Manage and maintain the Bank’s authorized signatory list
- Prepare, monitor, and coordinate MIS reports relating to pending audit observations and follow-up actions with stakeholders
Person Profile
- Minimum qualification of G.C.E. Advanced Level
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Full/part qualification in Banking will be an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent writing ability
- Strong analytical abilities with the capability to multitask
- Good knowledge of modern banking management techniques and industry best practices
- Familiarity with banking industry rules, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Age preferably below 27 years
