Role Overview
Union Assurance PLC is seeking a dynamic and professional Officer – Call Center to join their Life Operations Team at the Head Office. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective world-class service to all stakeholders who connect via the hotline, while accomplishing all assigned duties and supporting the achievement of the department’s objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver efficient, effective, and world-class customer service to all policyholders, agents, and stakeholders who contact the hotline
- Handle inbound calls professionally, answering queries regarding life insurance policies, premiums, claims, and other services
- Accomplish all assigned duties and support the achievement of the Life Operations department’s KPIs and objectives
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, queries, and resolutions in the CRM system
- Coordinate with relevant internal departments to resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner
- Identify customer needs, provide appropriate solutions, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work effectively under minimum supervision, multitask efficiently, and handle pressure during peak call volumes
Requirements
- Part qualification in SLIM / CIM / IASL, or a Diploma in Marketing or Business Management from a recognised university or institute
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer care management, front-line service, service desk, or call centre operations
- Excellent command of English and Sinhala — written and spoken; fluency in Tamil will be an added advantage
- Ability to work under minimum supervision, multitask effectively, and perform under pressure
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
