Role Overview

Amal International School is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will support the smooth functioning of science laboratories and ensure a safe, well-organized environment for students and staff. This is an important role that directly contributes to the quality of practical science education at the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science experiments
• Assist teachers and students in conducting practical experiments effectively and safely
• Maintain accurate records of lab procedures and experiment results
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of laboratory chemicals and materials in accordance with safety guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory at all times
• Manage inventory of lab supplies and coordinate restocking as needed
• Follow strict safety guidelines and ensure full compliance with school policies and laboratory standards
• Report any laboratory safety concerns or equipment issues to the relevant authority promptly

Requirements

• Completed GCE A/L in the Science stream
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Lab Assistant in a reputed school
• Proficiency in English speaking and communication
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety protocols
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
