Role Overview
Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate Junior Pastry Chef to join their culinary team. This is a hands-on role in a world-class hotel kitchen environment, working alongside talented pastry professionals to deliver exceptional desserts, pastries, and baked goods for the hotel’s multiple outlets and events.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods in line with Cinnamon Life’s high quality and presentation standards
- Support daily mise en place — preparation, organisation, and timely production of pastry items for all outlets and banqueting events
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and HACCP compliance at all times
- Monitor ingredient usage, control portion sizes, and actively minimise food wastage in line with sustainability goals
- Collaborate effectively with the pastry team to ensure smooth, efficient, and coordinated kitchen operations
- Assist in the development and plating of new dessert concepts and seasonal menu items
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored according to hotel standards
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar pastry or baking role — hotel kitchen experience is strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, chocolate work, and dessert presentation
- Understanding of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene, and HACCP principles
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel kitchen environment
- Genuine passion for pastry arts with creativity, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a luxury hospitality brand
- Good teamwork skills and a positive, learning attitude
