Job Role

Cargills Bank PLC is recruiting a diligent and analytically strong Junior Executive Officer – Information Systems Audit to join their Internal Audit division. This role plays a critical part in assessing the effectiveness of the bank’s IT internal controls, conducting IS audits, and supporting the bank’s risk mitigation and regulatory compliance objectives. The deadline for applications is 28th June 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and report on the effectiveness of the bank’s internal control environments to proactively mitigate and reduce the risk of financial loss.
Conduct critical tests prior to the implementation of new systems and execute all expected controls within the Information Systems (IS) Audit scope.
Review and verify adherence to internal guidelines, policies, delegated authority limits, and external regulatory requirements issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Liaise effectively with line management during and after audit assignments, and deliver clear, finalised audit and follow-up reports.
Support the achievement of business objectives through effective guidance on controls and risk mitigation strategies.
Contribute to the development and improvement of IS audit methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Information Security from a recognised university, or currently following a professional qualification in a related area.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Banking/Finance or Audit.
Prior experience in preparing audit reports and strong report-writing skills is highly desirable.
Excellent command of spoken and written English and strong interpersonal skills.
