Role Overview

ESOL College International is seeking a passionate and driven Junior Executive – Human Resources to join their HR team and support the college’s mission of building an exceptional workplace. This is a full-time, permanent role based at the Maharagama Branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment activities including job posting, candidate sourcing, CV screening, interview coordination, and new employee onboarding
  • Assist with core HR operations including employee documentation, leave management, attendance tracking, and payroll coordination
  • Handle employee relations matters and provide support in grievance handling and conflict resolution processes
  • Coordinate training and professional development programmes across the college’s departments
  • Maintain and update HR information systems, employee databases, and personnel records with accuracy
  • Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives aligned with the college’s business strategy
  • Support the HR Manager in preparing reports, presentations, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management — CIPM / PQHRM / IPM or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a corporate or educational environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Positive attitude and genuine passion for people management and HR
