Role Overview
ESOL College International is looking for a passionate and driven Junior Executive – Human Resources to join their HR team at the Maharagama Branch. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers excellent exposure to all aspects of HR operations within an educational institution. The successful candidate will support the HR team in building, developing, and managing ESOL’s growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support end-to-end recruitment activities including job posting, candidate sourcing, CV screening, interview coordination, and new employee onboarding
- HR Operations: Assist with employee documentation, leave management, attendance tracking, and payroll data coordination
- Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters professionally, support grievance handling processes, and maintain positive workplace relationships
- Training & Development: Coordinate and schedule employee training and development programmes in line with the organisation’s learning strategy
- HR Systems: Maintain and regularly update HR systems, employee databases, and personnel records with 100% accuracy
- Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing HR policies, initiatives, and procedures aligned with ESOL’s business strategy and Sri Lankan labour law
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and documentation as required by the HR Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management — CIPM / PQHRM / IPM Sri Lanka or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a corporate or educational environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — ability to engage with staff at all levels professionally
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and MS Office — Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency required
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and eagerness to grow within a dynamic HR team
