Job Summary

The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department with a wide range of administrative tasks, including employee record management, recruitment coordination, payroll support, and day-to-day HR operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth HR processes and efficient administration throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment processes including job postings, screening, and scheduling interviews
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases accurately
  • Support the payroll team with data collection and processing
  • Handle general HR correspondence, letters, and documentation
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new employees
  • Support the administration of staff attendance, leave management, and timesheets
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company HR policies
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as required

Requirements

  • A professional qualification in Human Resource Management (HRM)
  • Prior experience in HR-related functions is essential
  • Sound knowledge of local labour laws and regulations in Sri Lanka
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala
  • Good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Candidates below the age of 45 will be preferred
  • Retired officials from the private sector will also be considered for contract-based employment
  • Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience
