Job Overview

Kotmale Food Products is looking for experienced and responsible Lorry Drivers to operate their fleet of heavy goods vehicles across local and national routes. The selected candidates will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of food products while adhering to all road safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate 10½ and 14½ Isuzu and Mitsubishi lorry trucks on local and island-wide distribution routes
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Kotmale food products to designated destinations
• Adhere to all road traffic laws and company vehicle safety policies
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects
• Maintain delivery records and obtain proper documentation at each delivery point
• Coordinate with the operations team for route planning and delivery schedules
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles
• Handle goods with care to prevent product damage during transit

Requirements

• Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license (mandatory)
• Age between 25 and 35 years
• Candidate should be a new employee from Kotmale (specifically, applicants from outside the factory premises area who can be stationed as needed); candidates currently working at the factory in the Kotmale area are encouraged to apply
• More than 40 years of age with previous lorry driving experience and a clean safety record will be considered an advantage
• Special allowance available for those providing service outside the residence area
