Role Overview

United Motors Lanka PLC is seeking a responsible, experienced, and reliable Driver (රියදුරු) to join their team at their Colombo 02 head office. This is a full-time permanent position requiring a candidate with a valid heavy vehicle driving licence and a strong track record of professional driving within an organisational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for the safe and timely transportation of staff, management, and official cargo
• Maintain assigned vehicles in clean, roadworthy condition — conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections daily
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company vehicle usage policies
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivery of materials or documents as required
• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel consumption records, and vehicle maintenance schedules
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements to the relevant supervisor immediately
• Operate various categories of vehicles as required for company operations

සුදුසුකම් (Qualifications)

• Valid heavy vehicle driving licence covering all relevant categories (වලංගු බර වාහන රියදුරු බලපත්‍රයක් තිබීම)
• Ability to work beyond normal service hours when required (සාමාන්‍ය සේවා කාලයෙන් ඔබ්බට වැඩ කිරීමට ඇති හැකියාව)
• Age between 20–40 years
• Being a resident of an outstation area is an additional qualification (බස්නාහිර පළාත අවට අයදුම්කරුවකු වීම අමතර සුදුසුකමක් වේ)
• Good communication skills in Sinhala; English proficiency is an advantage
• Clean driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations
