A well-established organisation based in Ratmalana is seeking an energetic and motivated Clerk to join their stores team. About the Role
As a Clerk within the stores team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting the stores function, and handling general administrative tasks. You will work closely with the stores and operations teams to ensure inventory records are up to date and internal processes run efficiently. This role is ideal for a candidate who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stores inventory and stock movements
- Assist in receiving, checking, and recording incoming goods and materials
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to stores operations including goods received notes, issue vouchers, and stock registers
- Support the stores team with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Coordinate with relevant departments for stock requisitions and dispatch activities
- Use MS Office tools (Excel, Word) to prepare reports and maintain data records
- Ensure the stores area is organised and documentation is filed accurately
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve any stores-related queries in a timely manner
Personal Profile / Requirements
- Passed GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office applications
- Prior experience in a similar stores or clerical position will be considered an added advantage
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in or around the Ratmalana area
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and/or English
