Job Role: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Lanka Bio Fertilizers is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented professional to join their senior leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. The COO will serve as the second-in-command, providing strategic and operational leadership across all business functions — from national sales and distribution to administration and support services. This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-impact executive role in one of Sri Lanka’s most innovative agribusiness companies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for the company’s day-to-day operations across all departments
Manage and drive the performance of the national sales force to consistently achieve business targets
Oversee general management functions spanning sales, operations, administration, and support functions
Ensure effective execution of business strategies and operational plans aligned with the company’s vision
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability
Take ownership of delivering the company’s strategic objectives and spearheading growth initiatives
Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Board to shape long-term business direction
Foster a high-performance culture across all teams and business units

Requirements & Qualifications

Degree in Business Management, Agriculture, Marketing, Finance, or a closely related field from a recognized institution
Minimum 8–10 years of managerial experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or C-suite role
Prior experience in Sales Force Management and Financial Management will be a significant advantage
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and people management skills
Proven ability to drive performance and manage cross-functional teams effectively
Candidates with experience in the Agriculture or Agribusiness sector will be given preference
Below 45 years of age
