The Opportunity: Accounts Assistant

Creative Information Technologies is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage accounts receivable operations, focusing on invoicing accuracy, payment matching, and customer billing queries. This role is well suited to a candidate with a background in accounts receivable or debtor collections who is comfortable working with ERP accounting software in a fast-paced retail and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate, record, input, and process financial data accurately
• Prepare customer invoices in accordance with accounting procedures
• Research and investigate discrepancies in invoices to verify charge accuracy
• Match incoming payments to the correct invoice numbers
• Handle customer inquiries relating to billing issues
• Manage the Accounts Receivable ledger and related files
• Submit daily reports to management on accounts receivable operations

Requirements

• Gender: Male / Female
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting from an AAT qualification or equivalent
• Prior experience in both recoveries and debtor collections
• Ability to multi-task while remaining motivated and positive
• Proficient in accounting and finance principles, with expertise using accounting ERP software
