As the company grows, they are seeking driven and ambitious sales professionals to lead and develop their Modern Trade division, bringing the finest of Ceylon spices to every shelf in the country.

Positions Available

Manager – Modern Trade and Assistant Manager – Modern Trade (Male candidates)
📍 Location: Colombo / Matara
⏰ Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Modern Trade Development: Drive the expansion of SPICEUP products across leading supermarket and hypermarket chains island-wide.
• New Product Placement: Manage end-to-end product listing and onboarding processes with key retail partners.
• Buyer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with purchasing principals and category managers at major retail chains.
• Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate listing fees, promotions, shelf placements, and trade agreements to secure competitive positioning.
• Merchandising & Visibility: Ensure strong in-store brand presence, optimal shelf placement, and category visibility across all channels.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and identify new growth and expansion opportunities.
• Sales Performance Reporting: Track account performance, prepare detailed sales reports, and achieve monthly and annual growth targets.

Applicant Profile & Requirements

Manager – Modern Trade

• Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience, with at least 3–4 years specifically in Modern Trade, FMCG, or Consumer Goods.

Assistant Manager – Modern Trade

• Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in Modern Trade or Key Account Management.

Common Requirements (Both Roles)

• Strong industry connections — established relationships with purchasing principals and category managers at leading supermarkets.
• Proven listing success — demonstrated track record of introducing and expanding products within Modern Trade channels.
• Strong negotiation skills — ability to secure commercial agreements and drive profitable growth opportunities.
• Analytical and commercial mindset — comfortable working with sales targets, market reports, and data-driven decision making.
• Educational qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
• Valid driving licence preferred.
• Male candidates only.
