Position: ICT Teacher — Junior & Middle School

📍 Location: Asian International School, 4/97, Thalakotuwa Gardens, Colombo 05
⏰ Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive ICT lessons to Junior and Middle School students in line with the Edexcel Curriculum framework.
• Develop engaging, interactive, and innovative lesson plans that foster digital literacy and technology competency in students.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance in ICT on an ongoing basis and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date teaching resources, worksheets, and digital materials aligned with Edexcel learning objectives.
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive, disciplined, and learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate effectively with other academic staff and contribute to the overall development of the ICT department.
• Participate in school activities, staff training, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development programmes.
• Stay current with developments in ICT education and integrate new technologies and teaching methodologies into the classroom.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university — a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Edexcel Curriculum requirements for ICT is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience as a qualified teacher.
• Candidates holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or other relevant postgraduate teaching qualifications will have a distinct advantage.
