About the Role

DFCC Bank PLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive – Digital Banking to join the Digital Banking Department. This is a pivotal role within one of Sri Lanka’s most forward-thinking banks, focused on driving the implementation and management of card-related solutions, modern payment technologies, and digital banking initiatives.

The Executive – Digital Banking will play a key role in executing and managing card implementation activities, supporting the rollout of innovative payment solutions, and ensuring compliance with business, operational, and regulatory requirements. You will work at the intersection of technology, finance, and customer experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage card-related implementation activities including issuing, acquiring, tokenisation, and payment scheme integrations.
  • Drive the implementation of card-related product solutions and modern payment initiatives within the digital banking ecosystem.
  • Support the rollout of digital payment solutions such as tokenised wallets, QR-based payments, and payment aggregator integrations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (IT, Cards, Operations, Risk, and Compliance) and external partners (card schemes, processors, and vendors) to ensure effective execution of digital banking initiatives.
  • Conduct system testing (SIT/UAT), prepare technical and operational documentation, and support end-to-end implementation and rollout activities.
  • Support digital payment transformation projects while ensuring compliance with business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Monitor industry trends in digital payments and emerging fintech developments, contributing insights to strategy discussions.

What You Should Ideally Have

  • 4–6 years of experience in banking, cards, payments, or fintech-related roles.
  • Full or part qualification in Information Technology, Management, Business, or IBSL.
  • Strong understanding of card payment systems, including issuing and acquiring processes and the broader payment ecosystem.
  • Hands-on exposure to card-related implementations or payment technology projects.
  • Familiarity with emerging payment technologies such as tokenisation, QR payments, digital wallets, and payment aggregators.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
