About the Role
Commercial Bank is inviting applications for the position of Pawning Associate on a Fixed Term Contract basis, across a large number of branches island-wide. The successful candidate will support branch operations by efficiently managing pawning transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring excellent customer service and the proper safeguarding of pledged items.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pawning transactions including acceptance, valuation, and release of pledged items (primarily gold)
- Accurately input transaction details into the system to maintain reliable records
- Ensure secure documentation and safekeeping of pawned items according to internal guidelines
- Manage new facilities, renewals, redemptions, and part payments efficiently
- Deliver professional and courteous service while addressing customer inquiries
- Maintain records and generate reports for audit and monitoring purposes
- Adhere to compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations at all times
- Drive the promotion of pawning products within the branch to achieve pawning budget targets
Applicant’s Profile
- Age should be below 35 years
- Passed GCE (O/L) with credit passes in Mathematics and English
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in pawning services and gold assessment
- Banking or financial services experience is an added advantage
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- High integrity and professionalism in handling financial transactions
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure
