The Role
The Manager – Treasury & Finance will oversee the organization’s cash and liquidity management, banking relationships, funding strategies, investment activities, financial risk mitigation, taxation, and financial reporting. This critical leadership role ensures that AMWCL maintains optimal liquidity, complies with financial policies, minimizes risk, and supports overall business growth through efficient finance operations.
What You Will Do
Treasury Management
- Manage daily liquidity and funding requirements of the company
- Monitor cash flow forecasts and ensure optimal fund utilization
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for borrowings and placements
- Oversee investment decisions in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Taxation
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Sri Lankan tax regulations including Income Tax, VAT, NBT/SSCL, and WHT
- Prepare and review tax computations and returns in a timely manner
- Liaise with the Inland Revenue Department and other regulatory bodies
- Manage tax audits and provide necessary documentation
- Advise management on tax planning and risk mitigation strategies
Financial Reporting & Audit Support
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with SLFRS/LKAS
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely completion
- Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and performance insights
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance processes
What Equips You for the Role
- Full or part qualification in CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a finance function within a bank or finance company
- Strong knowledge of SLFRS, CBSL regulations, and tax framework in Sri Lanka
- Hands-on experience in treasury operations and financial reporting
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
