Role Overview

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority is inviting applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens to fill 10 vacancies for the post of Calassie under the Non-Craft Service Category. This is a permanent government post with EPF and ETF benefits. Calassie personnel support harbour and marine operations at the Port of Colombo, requiring physical fitness and the ability to swim. The gross monthly salary is approximately Rs. 109,000.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in 06 subjects, including Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings
• Age between 18 – 45 years as at the closing date of applications
• Must have the ability to swim
• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka
• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post
• Applicants should possess excellent character
• Selected candidates must pass the medical examination

Key Duties

• Assist in harbour and marine operations at the Port of Colombo
• Support port-side activities as assigned by the SLPA management
• Maintain safety and operational standards in marine/port environments
• Work across assigned areas within the port facility
