Role Overview

IIT is seeking a passionate and dynamic ICT Teacher cum Program Coordinator to join their DDL – General Education team. In this dual role, you will conduct ICT lessons for students at IIT DDL partner schools while also handling program coordination responsibilities to ensure the smooth delivery of the IIT school programme. This is a meaningful and impactful full-time role that combines teaching excellence with organizational coordination.

What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ICT lessons for students aged 6–19 across Primary, Middle School, and Upper School levels at IIT DDL partner schools
• Deliver lessons based on the National Curriculum, local syllabuses, and international syllabuses as applicable
• Prepare lesson plans and deliver engaging, interactive, and effective ICT lessons that inspire digital learning
• Support student learning through practical sessions, theory lessons, and additional support classes
• Prepare study materials, syllabi, and other relevant course content for assigned programmes
• Handle examination-related duties including paper setting, invigilation, and marking
• Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to curriculum development and school activities
• Conduct extra support and revision sessions for O/L and A/L ICT students when required
• Handle basic administrative duties related to teaching and school operations
• Attend events, activities, and meetings organized by IIT management
• Actively participate in marketing and promotional activities to increase brand awareness of the IIT school programme

What We’re Looking For

• Degree, Diploma, or HND in ICT or a related field from a recognized institution
• ICT must be a major component of the qualification
• Prior teaching experience or a teaching-related qualification will be an added advantage
• Passionate about teaching and genuinely committed to working with students
• Strong communication skills in both English and Sinhala
• Proficiency in Tamil will be considered an added qualification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative academic team
