CleverHR is now expanding its finance team and is seeking a qualified Accountant / Cashier to join their Negombo office.

Role Overview

Clever Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant / Cashier to join their Negombo team. This dual-function role combines accounting responsibilities with cashier duties — ideal for a candidate with a solid foundation in accounting principles and hands-on cashier experience.

Location: No. 141 1/1, Joseph Street, Negombo
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records — daily bookkeeping, ledger entries, and financial documentation
  • Handle cashier functions — processing cash, card, and cheque transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and reconcile daily cash reports and cash balances
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers in line with company policies
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide required documentation to external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and accounting standards

Qualifications & Requirements

  • GCE A/L or AAT qualification
  • Good knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Audit training experience will be an added advantage
  • Previous cashier experience is preferred
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
