The company is urgently seeking a dynamic, results-driven finance professional to join their finance division at the level of Assistant Manager.

Role Overview

Softlogic Stockbrokers is looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager – Finance to support the organisation’s financial operations and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management — with experience in the stock brokering industry being a specific requirement. Key Responsibilities

• Finalise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements — updating the general ledger, posting journal entries, and maintaining the trial balance
• Update daily cash flow forecasts and report to the Finance Manager with timely and accurate data
• Prepare comprehensive bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis
• Prepare all Inland Revenue (tax) payments in coordination with external Tax Consultants — ensuring timely filing and compliance
• Prepare all bank correspondence — letters, guarantees, and financial communication
• Assist external auditors and regulatory bodies by providing required information and submitting necessary documents promptly
• Maintain and file all accounting records, audit documentation, and financial reports in an organised manner

Qualifications & Skills

• Full Qualification of AAT Sri Lanka — or Final Level / Passed Finalist in CASL (CA Sri Lanka), CIMA, CMA, or ACCA
• A Bachelor’s Degree or similar qualification in Accountancy or Finance Management will be an added qualification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the finance field — including at least 1 year of experience in the stock brokering industry (this is a mandatory requirement)
• Excellent communication skills — written and verbal in English
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Sharp analytical thinking skills — ability to interpret complex financial data
• Dynamic, self-motivated, and able to work effectively under tight deadlines
