Role Overview

OXO Tech is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to join their growing team as an Executive / Management Trainee – Career Guidance & Assessment. This is a hybrid role combining academic research, career counselling, digital tool adaptation, and youth engagement — designed for someone passionate about guiding young people toward meaningful career paths.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth academic research to identify suitable theoretical frameworks for career discovery, recruitment, and performance management
• Adapt or develop career assessment tools and frameworks tailored specifically for Sri Lankan and Asian youth contexts
• Research and analyse features available on existing digital career assessment platforms (MBTI, Holland Code/RIASEC, DISC, OKRs, and similar)
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate career guidance concepts into practical digital solutions
• Provide career counselling sessions to youth (ages 16–28) and parents of partner institutes and schools
• Assess the suitability of candidates for proposed job roles using appropriate personality and career assessment tools
• Train volunteer groups from diverse professional backgrounds in structured career guidance methodologies
• Represent OXO Tech at career fairs, school programmes, and university exhibitions

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in HR, Counselling, Psychology, or Management from a reputed university or institute
• Strong interest in mastering talent assessment tools across career discovery, recruitment, and performance management — including frameworks such as MBTI, Holland Code (RIASEC), DISC, and OKRs
• Genuine passion for guiding youth in career development and academic-to-career transitions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Sinhala and English
• Interest in academic research and content development
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
