The company is expanding its field engineering team and is seeking a Site Support Engineer for their Mahiyanganaya service area.

Role Overview

Micronet Information Systems is recruiting a Site Support Engineer – L0 based in Mahiyanganaya. This is a field-based engineering role focused on maintaining, configuring, and administering computer networks and IT hardware infrastructure for clients in the Mahiyanganaya area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on hardware and networking experience and will be the primary point of IT support for the assigned client sites.

Location: Mahiyanganaya, Uva Province
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: LKR 44,000/- per month
Preference: Candidates residing in or near Mahiyanganaya

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, and administer client computer networks at assigned site locations in Mahiyanganaya
• Diagnose and replace faulty network hardware components — switches, routers, access points, and cabling
• Perform routine hardware inspections and preventive maintenance on workstations, servers, and networking equipment
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software at client premises
• Respond to IT support requests and resolve hardware/network issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, hardware inventory, and service logs
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers as required
• Coordinate with the Colombo head office for technical guidance and spare parts requisition

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Networking & Hardware from a recognised institution
• Minimum six months of experience in IT Hardware & Networking — this is a mandatory requirement
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills — ability to diagnose hardware and network faults independently
• Preference given to candidates residing in or near Mahiyanganaya
• Good communication skills in Sinhala; English is an advantage
• Willing to travel within the assigned service area for client site visits
