The Role

HNB Finance is looking for an Assistant Manager or Manager for Credit Evaluation. The grade offered will depend on experience. The job involves assessing complex credit facilities under delegated authority, visiting clients, and keeping an eye on how the lending portfolio performs. The successful candidate will also guide junior staff and bring AI and digital tools into the credit evaluation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex credit facilities and use delegated credit authority
• Carry out financial assessments and client visits, and monitor the portfolio for emerging risks
• Prepare detailed credit proposals, MIS reports and papers for the board and credit committees
• Work with business units to keep lending quality high without loosening credit standards
• Mentor junior team members and use AI and digital tools to improve how credit is evaluated

What You Will Need

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Banking, or an equivalent professional qualification
• 7+ years in Credit Evaluation or Risk Management; experience with complex credit and delegated authority is a strong plus
• In-depth skill in financial analysis, cash flow assessment and structuring credit facilities
• Strong analytical, leadership, decision-making and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of MIS, data analysis, Microsoft Office and AI/digital reporting tools
