Current Hiring Round

Commercial Bank of Ceylon is recruiting Pawning Associates on fixed-term contracts. This round covers 15 branches in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces. The role is for people who already have hands-on experience valuing gold and handling pawning transactions. Candidates must also be under 35 and have O/L credit passes in Mathematics and English.

Battaramulla, Delkanda, Elpitiya, Galle, Hambantota, Hettipola, Ja-Ela, Kahawatte, Karapitiya, Kirulapone, Kotikawatte, Madampe, Padukka, Pelawatte and Radddolugama.

What the Job Involves

• Conducting pawning transactions from start to finish: accepting pledged items, valuing them, and releasing them on redemption.
• Documenting and safely storing pawned items according to the bank’s internal guidelines.

Eligibility

• Age below 35 years.
• G.C.E. (O/L) passed with credit passes in Mathematics and English.
• At least 2 years’ experience in pawning services and gold assessment.
