The company is adding a Stores Executive to its Operations Team in Matara.

About the role

This person runs the store day to day. That covers goods coming in, materials going out to production, finished goods waiting for dispatch, and the paperwork behind every movement. Stock is tracked in an ERP system, and management expects regular stock reports.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, issue, store and handle raw materials and finished goods
• Keep stock records accurate and document every stock movement
• Watch stock levels and arrange replenishment to avoid shortages and overstocking
• Store, label and identify materials according to company standards
• Track stock ageing, damaged or expired items and slow movers, and act on them
• Support ERP-based inventory work and prepare stock and stores reports for management

Requirements

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Stores Management or a related field
• 2 to 3 years of experience in stores, warehouse, inventory or supply chain work, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
• Good knowledge of inventory management, stock control, warehouse procedures and documentation
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail, with organising and analytical skills
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and keep accurate records in a busy operation

Tips for your application

Spices and food products have shelf lives, so stock ageing and expiry control will matter here. If you’ve run FIFO or FEFO, handled expired stock write-offs, or worked with a named ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or a local system), put that near the top of your CV.
