Role Overview

The job holder is responsible for managing all Trade Finance products including LC document checking, by providing accurate trade processing for Wholesale Banking, Project Finance, Business Banking, and Retail Banking customers, while managing operational risks and maintaining the service levels agreed with the respective business lines.

The Job

• Processing transactions while maintaining SLA standards and day-to-day transaction processing
• Providing outstanding internal/external customer service, exceeding customer expectations
• Delivering services as per agreed Service Level Agreements
• Adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements and managing operational risks
• Timely submission of monthly G/L reconciliations to Finance
• Effective clearance of Nostro Account reconciliations, ensuring no long-outstanding items
• Identification of process and system deviations, errors, or issues, with appropriate timely action taken
• Support the job rotation plan for staff within the unit and ensure availability of at least one backup staff member for every seat
• Encouraging staff to attend appropriate training and tracking the number of trainings attended by subordinates

The Person

• Diploma in Trade Finance / Diploma in Banking and Finance or a related field
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Trade Finance
• ICC trade qualifications (CDCS, CSDG, CITF, and CSCF) would be an added advantage
• Adequate knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, URDG 758, URC 522, and Incoterms at an expert level
• Strong customer relationship skills and good teamwork
• Good communication skills
