About CAGS Academy
CAGS Academy (Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science) is building out its Academic Research Staff team in Malabe, Colombo, at Sri Lanka’s leading gemmology academy.
Role Overview
The Academic Research Staff role focuses on research, publications, and academic development within the gemmology field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gemmology, Earth Sciences, Chemistry, Literature, Archaeology, History, or a related field
- Experience in academic research, technical writing, or scientific publications
- Strong analytical, documentation, and academic writing skills in English
- Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and committed to academic rigour
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document original research on gemstones and industry topics
- Assist in developing academic curriculum and programme materials
- Contribute to CAGS publications, white papers, and industry reports
- Support faculty in laboratory research and student research projects
