About CAGS Academy
CAGS Academy (Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science), a leading gemmology academy in Sri Lanka, is hiring Academic Staff for its Malabe campus to support lecturing and laboratory instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lectures, practical sessions & student assessments
- Develop and update course materials to international standards
- Supervise laboratory work & mentor students on career pathways
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic growth
Qualifications
- Diploma in Gemmology — Gem-A (FGA/DGA), GIA (GG), DGemG, or equivalent (desirable)
- Diploma or Degree in Science, Applied Science, Education, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in gem, jewellery, or gemmology education (advantage)
- Knowledge of gemstone testing equipment & lab procedures (advantage)
- Strong English & Sinhala communication skills
- Young enthusiasts with a positive, can-do attitude are strongly encouraged to apply
