Position: Relationship Officer – Elite Banking

Job Profile

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 275 affluent customer relationships, delivering a world-class customer experience
• Ensure wallet share retention and portfolio incremental growth by maximizing outcomes through cross-selling and upselling to the portfolio
• Proactively acquire new customer onboardings and ensure portfolio growth and upgrading clients to the HNWI segment
• Build deep relationships with the portfolio by understanding customers’ financial needs and providing timely solutions to suit their needs (i.e. wealth management products)
• Operate in an environment free from any operational lapses, audit failures, and regulatory lapses; ensure no KYC breaches when onboarding and managing relationships, and timely carry out Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews
• Demonstrate dedication and passion to serve customers, driving the right outcomes and delivering the high service standards expected

Applicant’s Profile

• Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance (DABF) or the Higher Diploma in Banking and Finance (HDBF) from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL), OR a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
• Full professional qualifications in Finance, Marketing, or a related field are an added advantage
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in front-line customer service roles, with strong relationship management skills, including exposure to managing affluent segments in priority banking
• Good understanding of banking products, mainly deposits, retail lending, investment options, and treasury products
• Ability to work independently under pressure and perform consistently in line with business objectives set
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; multi-language skills will be more advantageous
• Customer-first mindset in all actions and deeds, and be available for the portfolio at call
