About the Role

Diana Biscuits (Pvt) Ltd and Diana Chocolates (Pvt) Ltd are inviting suitably qualified and experienced professionals to join as Assistant Accountant at their Matale operations. This role covers a broad scope spanning financial reporting, factory and transport operations, and cost control, making it ideal for a dynamic accounting professional who enjoys working close to manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial reporting and analysing financial performance.
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
• Oversee factory operations, including inventory management and reconciliation.
• Oversee transport operations, including cost tracking and logistics coordination.
• Manage cost-controlling functions, ensuring accurate product costing and cost analysis.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
• Liaise with management and department heads, providing strategic insights to senior management.

Personal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Accountancy or Finance Management.
• Part professional qualification in CASL, CIMA, CMA, or ACCA, or full qualification of AAT Sri Lanka.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• Dynamic and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Age below 45 years.
