About the Roles

Teachers joining Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in accordance with the Edexcel curriculum (for secondary subject positions) or the English Medium primary curriculum (for the Grade 1 position). You will be expected to maintain accurate records, support student development, communicate effectively with parents, and contribute positively to the school’s vibrant academic community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Edexcel or primary curriculum
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress regularly
• Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school management on academic and co-curricular activities
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress

Requirements

• Specialised Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education
• Prior teaching experience is essential
• Fluency in English language — both spoken and written
• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Familiarity with the Edexcel curriculum is required for subject teacher positions
