Trinity Steel is now seeking a dynamic, passionate, and results-oriented Assistant Chemist to join their manufacturing team near Katunayake.

About the Role

As an Assistant Chemist, you will play a vital role in supporting the quality control and laboratory functions of the manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, managing chemical handling procedures, and ensuring all operations comply with safety standards and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing on raw materials and finished products in accordance with quality standards
• Handle chemicals safely and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and documentation
• Monitor and report on quality parameters during the production process
• Support root cause analysis and problem-solving for quality-related issues
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure product quality meets customer and regulatory requirements
• Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry
• Sound knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, chemical handling, and safety standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
• Performance-oriented team player with good communication skills
• Age below 30 years
• Candidates living close to Katunayake will have an added advantage
