RIC is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Visiting Lecturer in Electromechanical Systems to join their Deakin Pathway Programme Academic Panel. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineering professional or academic to contribute to the development of Sri Lanka’s next generation of engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate unwavering commitment to teaching and consistently strive for excellence in instructional methods
Minimise lecture cancellations and rescheduling, ensuring regular and dependable course delivery
Engage in mentoring and provide academic support to students as needed, ensuring their academic success and development
Adhere to all institutional policies and guidelines set by the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA)
Develop and deliver engaging, up-to-date course content aligned with the Deakin Pathway Programme curriculum
Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and practical sessions
Collaborate with the academic team to continually improve teaching quality and outcomes

Qualifications

Option A: A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field) with a minimum of 5 years of industry and/or teaching experience
Option B: A Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field) with a minimum of 1 year of industry and/or teaching experience
Prior lecturing or teaching experience in higher education is highly preferred
Proficiency in automation software tools related to robotics, including Kuka software
Excellent command of English – both written and spoken
